Vago Tedosio Composer / Curator
Facebook: Dance Singularity
Composer / pianist of contemporary and jazz music and art curator Vago Tedosio explores he dynamics of physics and science in their possibility to generate art.
His Dance Singularity project creates a network of artist of various disciplines in the form
of music, dance, visual arts and drama in order to create unique live visual and music ex-
periences. He works between Athens, London and Berlin where he has presented site-specific installations in architecturally challenging structures such as abandoned buildings, church cathedrals and factories.
He engages with the non-linear time flow in performative actions and examines how our impression of structure constantly alternates our perception of positive and negative space in music and in theatre.
He has featured work in international art project and musical venues such as SHUNT-London, Transitstation DE (Germany-Denmark), ICA-London, MPA-Berlin, Artevict, Trinity Gallery-London.
As a pianist he gives concerts of his music, often combining elements of physical theatre and contemporary dance in form of collaborations.
In Athens he has performed and featured his work in places such as Beton7, The Benaki Museum, The Empros Theatre, Altera Pars Theatre and Chimeres Art Project.
He has assisted in the founding and development of Performancespace-London (2011) and has collaborated with many artists establishing a bridge between music and performance art.
He has written soundtracks for films featured in international festivals, such as Vancouver Film Festival, Sundance and other and he has won the Stanley Mills Prize for best music for contemporary dance piece (1996).
He is the winner of the Exceptional Dinstiction for live scoring of a movie in Megaron Mousikis Concert Hall in March 2016.
As a curator he has organized a cycle of performances to accommodate the Athens Photo Festival 2016 in Benaki Musem (summer 2016) entitled [Mis/Dis]Placed-APhF:16 Selected Recent Works
